High school transportation
Every year, we transport thousands of high school students to and from school. We do that by adding buses to our regular system. Those special routes are called integrated school routes.
We offer them for the following schools:
Back to School 2026 – New Features and Adjustments
To better serve schools and meet ridership needs, several integrated routes are being modified for the 2026–2027 school year:
Nouvelles Frontières College
- Modification of routes 566 and 569.
- Removal of the routing between Cégep Gabrielle-Roy and Nouvelles Frontières College for two trips on route 64.
Mont-Bleu High School
- Removal of one afternoon trip on route 429.
- Modification of route 431 in the Saint-Raymond and Cité-des-Jeunes boulevard sectors.
Grande-Rivière High School
- Reversal of route 641 to improve student safety and reduce travel time to the Lattion Street sector.
Nouvelle-Ère High School
- Addition of one morning trip on route 752.
- Modification of route 752 to serve the Lucerne sector, west of Vanier Boulevard.
Saint-Joseph College
- Discontinuation of route 734.
- Creation of routes 725 and 729 to replace route 734.
De l’Île High School
- Removal of one morning trip on route 825.
New for All Integrated Routes
- The route number is now displayed on the front destination sign of the bus, as it is for a regular route, rather than in the black box located in the lower-left corner of the windshield.
Good to know
Integrated school routes supplement our public transit service.
Unlike school buses, they are not for the exclusive use of students. Any STO customer is entitled to use those routes.
Students are not restricted to using those routes. You can take any regular route to and from school, classes, appointments or to visit friends.
Plani-Bus helps create itineraries from any departure point to any destination in the STO system.
Who is eligible to take the integrated school route?
A school or school service centre must:
identify the students who are eligible for integrated school transportation; and
give their eligible students the STO Multi Jeunesse card upon their arrival in Grade 7.
The school transportation Multi Jeunesse card is always valid.
