Getting a personalized card
Go to one of our issuing
centres with the required
supporting documents. You must select the
type of pass to be put on the card when it is issued.
At that time, your photo will be taken and you will receive
your personalized Passe-Partout Plus smart card.
The smart card is sold for $8.00, taxes included.
Once you have your personalized smart card, you are ready
to add the type of pass that you have selected.
Recharging your card
You can recharge your card at any time by going to one of
the recharging sites.
You can also ask for several months to be put on the card.
Note that only the person who appears in the photo may use
the card. STO monthly passes are not refundable after the
start date of the period for which they have been issued.
Supporting

Proof
of residency in Quebec (RAMQ card or driver's licence).

of age (65 years and over) (RAMQ card or driver's licence).
Paying
your fare on the bus
Pass your smart card in front of the reader at the front
of the bus to get a green light.
You will get a red
light if your pass has expired or if a supplement is
required. In both cases, the appropriate message will
be displayed on the reader's screen and the driver will
tell you what to do. |

When you buy a booklet of tickets, you also get a special
"2 for 1" offer for the Canadian Museum of Civilization,
War Museum or IMAX Theatre™ (certain conditions apply).
To accommodate customers, some retailers have taken the initiative
to sell single bus tickets upon request. Note that for various
reasons, this type of service cannot be expected from all
authorized outlets.
Paying your fare
on the bus
Drop your bus tickets (and any applicable supplement) in the
fare box beside the driver.
| Transfers:
A
bus ticket entitles you to a transfer. If you pay your
fare using a bus ticket and you must take more than
one bus to reach your destination, ask the driver for
a transfer when you first pay your fare.
The transfer is accepted
without a supplement on regular STO and OC Transpo bus
routes until the latest time shown, which is two hours
calculated from the time the bus leaves the terminus.
An exception applies
to some trips on routes 33 that have Les Promenades
and Ottawa as the departure and arrival
terminus. Riders on these trips are entitled to a transfer
that is valid for three hours since their route is longer.
Trips leaving from or heading to the Freeman terminus
are not included in this exception.
You must pay a supplement
if you board express ($0.50) or interzone (adult: $2.85
/ student-senior: $2.10) buses.

fare. This type of reduced ticket is available for children
aged 11 and under, as well as riders with Student and Senior
smart cards. To benefit from this fare, you must show
your valid Student or Senior Passe-Partout Plus smart
card to the driver when you board the bus (does not apply
to children aged 11 and under).

of the smart care with your photo. Otherwise the driver will
ask you to pay the difference of an Adult ticket ($0.75).

Group pass – 12 or more people.
Travel as a group at a reduced fare.

A Visitor pass allows a group of 12 or more people to make a
round trip at a reduced fare. Note that this pass is issued
according to the space available on buses offering regular service,
and travel in both directions must take place outside peak hours.
Conventions or symposiums
Convention or symposium participants can also benefit from preferential
rates.
Visitor pass
$2.85 per person per day, regardless
of the age of group members.

To get a Visitor pass, contact Customer Relations at 819 770-3242
and submit your travel details. This will help ensure that
your group and regular public transit riders enjoy reliable,
high quality service.

You must sign the Visitor pass before boarding the bus. Show
the Visitor pass clearly to the bus driver.
