Smart Card

Passe-Partout Plus

The STO's Passe-Partout PLUS smart cards are all personalized, meaning that each one has a photo of the person who is authorized to use it and the fare category (adult, student or senior). The smart card can be used in two ways:

As a pass.
As a personalized ID card to accompany the use of a reduced fare ticket.

Smart cards can be purchased at our issuing centres for $8.00, taxes included.

The system offers significant advantages. It allows for better fare control, better knowledge of consumer profiles for the services provided, and gives the STO the chance to offer services that are better adapted to the needs of its clientele, as well as new fare possibilities.

The many benefits for patrons include the possibility of restoring the data from a lost or stolen card on a new card.

The Passe-Partout Plus card is not just a plastic card. It is a contactless smart card that acts as an identity card and a rechargeable transit pass.

The Passe-Partout Plus card contains a built-in antenna and a memory chip. The antenna is used to establish communications between the card and the central system. The memory chip makes it possible to store the pass information.
