Although carpooling
does not provide as much freedom as public transit,
it allows you to avoid traffic congestion rapidly by
giving you access to about 20 kilometres of reserved
lanes across
the city. It is also a chance to make some new acquaintances
or to get to know your friends or colleagues better.
Moreover, every additional person in a car represents
one less vehicle on the road, and gives nature a helping
hand!
For more information on the proper
use of reserved lanes, see the pamphlet entitled
