Unlimited access for high school students in July and August

Are you a high school student? This summer, we want you on board! From July 1st to August 31st, ALL high school students living and/or attending a school in Gatineau and born after September 1, 2004, have free access to public transit on the STO, OC Transpo and Transcollines systems!

All you need is one of the following two (2) cards:

Your Multi card with your photo
if you already have one.

A LIBRE-ACCÈS JEUNESSE card, which is available
at certain high schools in June and at all STO service points.

How does it work?

You will need to swipe your card as you enter the bus.

Students on the Transcollines territory

The LIBRE-ACCÈS JEUNESSE is for students attending a school in the City of Gatineau only. Consult the table above to find out how to take advantage of this unlimited access to transportation.

When you travel on the Transcollines transit system, you have to show your Multi smart card with photo or your Multi Youth Free Access card to the driver when you get on the bus.

To travel on OC Transpo

Get a card as indicated in the chart above and swipe your card at the validator as you enter the bus or OTrain stations.

To travel on STO on demand

Youth Access is accepted on the Transportation on Demand service. To access it, open an account if you don't already have one and send a photo of your student card by e-mail to STOalademande@sto.ca.

To travel with Paratransit

The youth self-access pass is accepted on the paratransit service. It is automatically offered free of charge to youth who have access to it. You do not need to take any specific action to obtain access.
