Meetings
The Board of Directors convenes at least 10 regular meetings per year. These meetings are public and are announced at least five days in advance in a newspaper distributed throughout the area served by the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO).
At these meetings, the members of the Board of Directors make administrative, policy and technical decisions reflecting the best interests of the STO and its patrons.
Decisions are made by a majority vote. Members each have one vote that they must cast on any issues that are put to a vote, unless they are prevented from doing so because of a conflict of interest. The chairperson casts the deciding vote in the case of tie votes.
Question period
At the beginning of each meeting, the Board of Directors has a question period during which those present may ask the members questions.
Citizens can attend and ask questions at the start of meetings.
Schedule
Board of Directors meetings are held in the Board’s meeting room located at the STO’s administration centre at 111 Jean-Proulx in Gatineau, at 11 a.m. on the following Wednesdays:
