Operational Challenges
A shortage of compliant and roadworthy buses is making it difficult to deliver our regular scheduled service.
The lack of manpower, the gradual reinstatement of the 45 articulated buses as well as supply chain challenges are indeed causing impacts that will continue to affect our transit system.
However, this will not affect the paratransit service or the on-demand transportation service in the Buckingham and Masson-Angers sectors.
Our operations team will do its utmost to minimize the impact on our customers by offering the most efficient service possible under the current conditions.
Depending on the number of buses that are able to operate, the following service is prioritized:
- Routes that serve high schools;
- Routes that operate on major transit routes;
- All bus routes.

Tentative agreement
A tentative agreement has been reached with the Union, representing the 160 maintenance employees. This agreement will make it possible to resume a certain pace of work in order to increase the number of compliant vehicles and prepare for the summer season.
Please note that the tentative agreement must be approved by the STO Board of Directors as well as by unionized employees.
