New Web Site for the STO
Published : 03-15-2012
The Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) is officially launching its new Web site today. Now available at sto.ca, the revamped site offers many new advantages and can be personalized to meet the needs of public transit riders.
The public can now create a profile for a secure, personalized space and subscribe to e-mail alerts – a major advantage for keeping up to date on what is happening on the system. Revised, upgraded and enhanced, the new sto.ca offers a simpler, more user-friendly and intuitive browsing experience.
“Launching the new Web site allows us to create a forum for exchange with visitors by offering the latest information in a dynamic way, and by applying design concepts to make it accessible for everyone,” stated STO Chairman Patrice Martin.
The sto.ca also has a new section called Travelling with the STO that explains how to use public transit, a more dynamic Careers section, and fare information presented according to type of rider.
“The customer experience is key, and the new Web site shows that the STO is there for its patrons by informing them of the products and services available,” added the chairman.
To mark the event, the STO is launching a contest to create your profile for a chance to win the new iPad. Today, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., a “special” squad will be at the food court at Galeries de Hull to unveil all the great things about the new site and invite people to create their profile.
The STO aims to provide personalized information adapted to the needs of its riders by offering the latest in information tools. With this in mind, the Société will also offer new mobile platforms by the end of 2012.
