New service offer in the Plateau and Manoir des Trembles districts

16,300 new service hours
as of August 28, 2017,

These changes come on the heels of two public consultation exercises that were well attended by residents from the Plateau and Manoir des Trembles districts.

The service offered in the fall of 2017 represents an annual budget of $1.6 million and 16,300 additional hours of service compared to the current service.

Overview of the system

At peak hours:

  • Better coverage of the territory owing to the creation of route 23

  • More frequent service owing to the addition of trips for the highest demand

  • A new route to the Cégep from Rivermead through Manoir des Trembles

During off-peak periods:

  • Direct and more frequent links to the downtowns, within walking distance for 84% of Plateau residents, owing to the creation of route 34, which takes Plateau and Atmosphère, and serves Manoir des Trembles

  • Better coverage of the territory by routes 34 and 39

  • Easier local travel and rapid access to the Rapibus corridor and to Parc industriel Richelieu owing to route 39

  • Accessible buses and direct links to the downtowns for Mutchmore with the new route 371

  • Link maintained between Galeries Aylmer and the Cégep owing to route 49

Route 22

  • Route Unchanged. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.
  • Slight reduction in the service offered with, one less trip in the morning and one less trip in the afternoon.

Route 23

  • New route running along Conservatoire, Amérique-Française and Plateau. See the route map.
  • Average frequency of 22 minutes, with 9 trips during the morning peak period and 8 trips during the afternoon peak period.

Route 24

  • Route unchanged. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.
  • Slight reduction in the service offered owing to the creation of route 23: two less trips during the morning peak period and one less trip in the afternoon peak period.
  • Route 23 is an additional option for some riders on route 24.

Route 25

  • Route unchange. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.
  • Increased service, with one trip added during the morning peak period and two trips added during the afternoon peak period.

Route 26

  • Route unchanged. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.
  • Increased service with one trip added during the morning peak period and during the afternoon peak period.

Route 28

  • Route unchanged. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.
  • Revised service with 3 trips during the morning and 3 trips during the afternoon, interspersed with the 3 trips on route 18.
  • The trip offered on route 18 around noon, combined with a transfer on route 34, allows Manoir des Trembles residents to return home at midday.

Route 18

  • New route provides a link between Labrosse station and Tunney's Pasture, via the Rapibus corridor and Alexandre-Taché. See the route map.
  • 3 trips during the morning peak period and 3 trips during the afternoon peak period, as well as one trip towards Labrosse station at midday.

Route 29

  • Route unchanged. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.
  • Increased service with 3 trips added during the morning peak period and 2 trips added during the afternoon peak period, for an average frequency of 15 minutes.

Route 50

  • Route and service unchanged. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.

Route 56

  • New route provides a link between Rivermead and the Cégep de l'Outaouais via Manoir des Trembles. See the route map.
  • 3 trips during the morning and 3 trips during the afternoon, based on the start and end times of classes.

Regular routes 34, 39 and 49 are also offered during peak periods. See below for details.

Route 34

  • New route along Plateau and Atmosphère serves Manoir des Trembles before heading to the Hull sector and Ottawa dowtowns via Alexandre-Taché. See the route map.
  • Offered every 15 minutes between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, and every 30 minutes evenings and weekends. The route is also offered in the direction of Plateau during the morning peak period and to Ottawa during the afternoon peak period.

Route 39

  • Revised route to offer local service north of Plateau. The route also provides a direct link to Hôpital and Galeries de Hull as well as the Rapibus corridor at Les Galeries de Hull station. The route continues to the Freeman Park-and-Ride via Carrière and the Richelieu industrial park. See the route map.
  • Offered every 30 minutes at all times, in both directions.
  • For riders who are not within walking distance of route 34, trips to the downtown areas are offered with a transfer, either with route 34 at the Plateau / Saint-Raymond intersection, or with route 400 at Les Galeries de Hull station. The travel times are similar to the times on route 39.
  • Riders in the Manoir des Trembles can also able to travel towards Hôpital, Galeries de Hull and the Rapibus by transferring from route 34 to route 39.
  • Service on Mutchmore is maintained with the creation of route 371 (See below for details).

Route 371

  • A new created by converting one out of two route 37 trips to serve Mutchmore owing to the changes to route 39. See the route map.
  • Service offered by low-floor buses with access ramps.

Route 49

  • Route unchanged. Consult the Plani-Bus to see the route map.
  • One trip added at 8:30 a.m. in the direction of Galeries Aylmer.
