FOR BUCKINGHAM AND MASSON-ANGERS
Local travel survey
The Société de transport de l'Outaouais wishes to know and understand more about your local travel needs within the Buckingham and Masson-Angers sectors. This will help us assess the need for – and interest in – an on-demand transportation pilot project in these sectors.
The aim of this innovative pilot project would be to explore supplementing the transit system's existing bus service, especially Route 97. The potential new service would therefore complement, and not replace, the existing service.
If you live in Buckingham or Masson-Angers, please complete this online travel habits survey by December 8, whether you currently use STO services or not.
If you're a resident of either of these sectors, we definitely want to hear from you!
What is on-demand transportation?
Local on-demand transportation can take many forms:
- booking a trip for a specific time
- a pick-up service at your residence or from an appointment location
- using smaller vehicles
- possibly transporting several passengers going to different destinations in the same vehicle
On-demand transportation already operates in Quebec – in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville and Sherbrooke, for example (online information only in French).
The form of this proposed pilot project would be determined over the coming months in collaboration with residents, the community and potential partners.
