How to get there
$3 shuttle service
Avoid the hassle of looking for parking near the activity sites and take the shuttles from the Centre Robert Guertin Park-and-Ride to Jacques Cartier Park. Ongoing service is offered from 10 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. at a cost of $3 for the trip to the site and free for the return trip. Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) passes and tickets are accepted.
Note that the service is free for children aged 11 and under.
To provide easier access for people with reduced mobility, this service is offered with low-floor buses that have a system to reduce the space between the sidewalk and the bus. Just ask the driver!
Free shuttle service
You can also travel between the activity sites on the free shuttle service offered between Jacques Cartier Park (Hull sector) and Major’s Hill Park (Ottawa).
This ongoing service has an access ramp for people in wheelchairs and with reduced mobility. It is available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is a joint effort by the STO and OC Transpo.
Regular bus service
You can also get to the Canada Day festivities on the STO’s regular system. All bus routes heading to the downtown areas of the Hull sector and Ottawa will stop at Jacques Cartier Park and will have their terminus at the Supreme Court of Canada. Regular fares apply.
The return home leaves from Jacques Cartier Park and the Supreme Court of Canada, and is free for everyone after 10 p.m. (including paratransit riders).
Check Plani-Bus for the timetables for these routes and to create your personalized itinerary.
