Dedicated Rapibus Web sites recognized
The STO received an award of recognition from the Association du transport urbain du Québec (ATUQ) for its two dedicated Rapibus Web sites.
The award, handed out in Saguenay at the Association’s annual conference, acknowledges the quality of these two interactive information tools created as part of a major project and recognizes the excellent work by the team involved.
Pan-Canadian recognition highlights the excellence of an STO employee
An STO employee ranks among the people who stood out for their mass transit expertise, receiving the Individual Leadership Award in the Excellence category given out by the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA).
Danielle Pronovost, a transportation technician and co-ordinator, has worked in bus schedule planning and driver assignment for more than 35 years. An expert in her field, she was recognized for her contribution in implementing and continuously improving different software programs that allow the STO to optimize the levels of service offered for the public.
The STO is recognized at the ATUQ annual conference
The Société de transport de l'Outaouais (STO) was honoured at the annual conference of the Association du transport urbain du Québec (ATUQ) by an award of recognition for its project involving the challenges of accessibility.
With this project, the STO committed to increasing the accessibility of its regular public transit system in order to foster the academic, professional and social integration of disabled persons and to tackle the issue of population aging.
Several employee groups worked together to implement the accessible bus service, which is one of the first steps towards mobility for everyone. The distinction awarded to the teams that worked on the project recognizes their collaboration, competence and professionalism.
