Unlike school buses, urban buses do not have blinking lights to protect students when you get on or off the bus. Never run behind a bus. Clearly signal to the driver that you want to get on the bus. Check the bus route number on the sign on the front of the bus before getting on. The main rule is to get on the bus at the front and get off at the rear! For your safety, please make sure you always keep the aisle front of your personal belongings. When you have a montlhy bus pass, you must clearly show the photo on your smart card to the bus driver. When you want to get off the bus, signal the driver by pressing the bell. Make sure you press it well before your stop to give the driver time to bring the bus to a halt. Use the rear door to get off so you do not block the people who want to get on. After getting off the bus, wait until it has gone before crossing the street. NEVER CROSS IN FRONT OF AN URBAN BUS!
