Netiquette

Social media

We expect harmonious exchanges on our social platforms. Thus, certain behaviours are prohibited:

  • disseminating personal information about another user, person or employee;
  • attacking, abusing, threatening or insulting comments;
  • discriminatory, defamatory or sexist comments;
  • political, discourteous or offensive comments about the STO Board of Directors or staff;
  • comments that promote racial, religious, ethnic or other hatred;
  • vulgar language; and
  • repeated comments, spam and publicity of any kind.

The comments must be pertinent and related to the content of the posted topics. The STO reserves the right to hide inappropriate comments.

The STO is not responsible for users’ comments and opinions.

The STO authorizes users to add hyperlinks as long as the content is related to the posted topics. It is understood that the STO is not responsible for the content of external sites.

In order to ensure constructive and respectful exchanges, the STO reserves the right to delete any comment it deems inappropriate or that fails to comply with these conditions or social media terms of use. The STO can also ban a member or user if they fail to comply with the rules.

Response time

The STO follows up on exchanges on its Facebook page and on its Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. It monitors the social media. Even though social media encourages speed and spontaneity, information must sometimes be checked with the different units in the organization. This means it may sometimes take time to respond.

The STO will attempt to answer your questions as quickly as possible, Mondays to Fridays, between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

For any comments, including those about STO services, please fill out the comments form or call Customer Relations at 819 770-3242.
