Service review from Aylmer and Plateau sectors to the Cégep de l’Outaouais

Public consultation results
A public consultation was held from February 26 to March 17, 2024 to review the service in the Aylmer and Plateau sectors for buses heading to Cégep de l’Outaouais (Gabrielle-Roy campus).
In total, 471 people filled out the consultation questionnaire. Based on the comments received, adjustments were made to the initially proposed service offer.
The new fall 2024 service, which will come into effect on August 26, will include changes to the route 49, 50, 52 and 56 circuits and schedules. In addition, a new route, 42, will be added to meet the needs in those sectors.

Route 49
- Direction Cégep: 5 morning peak period trips added
- Direction Allumettières: 1 afternoon peak period trip added
Route 52
- Direction Seto: 3 morning peak period trips added and afternoon peak period trip discontinued
- Direction Allumettières: 2 afternoon peak period trips added, 3 morning peak period trips discontinued and 2 evening trips discontinued
Route 56
- Direction Cégep: 2 daytime trips discontinued
- Direction Galeries d’Aylmer: 1 evening trip added and 3 daytime trips discontinued
Route 42
- New route for the Rivermead/McConnell sector to improve frequency and offer service every 30 minutes to complement route 52
- This route will loop around for a Rivermead park-and-ride departure and arrival
Route 50
- Direction Cégep: 1 daytime trip added (arrival for 10 a.m. classes)
- Direction Allumettières: 2 morning peak period trips discontinued
Route 54
- Direction Rivermead: 3 morning peak period trips retained
- Direction Parc Champlain: 3 afternoon peak period trips retained
Integrated service
Two of the integrated school routes will be modified as a result of this change in service. The route 549 circuit will be modified, and route 554 will be created to enhance the service in this sector.
There will be no changes to other integrated routes.
