All the information
about timetables, bus routes and fares can be found in the
User's Guide, making it an essential aide for anyone using
public transportation.
The User's Guide is available in all buses, at the STO and
at authorized STO outlets. The Guide is also available from
a number of retail outlets and public institutions. To obtain
a list of these locations, contact Information at 819 770-3242.
The STO periodically issues updates to the User's Guide. They
are published as leaflets and may be inserted in your Guide.

| Bus
stop |
 |
Each bus stop sign clearly indicates the number of each bus
route that passes by that stop. You will also find the number
of the bus stop, which will allow you to access our Infobus
system and find out when the next two buses will go by.

map / display modules |
 |
|
The transit map is displayed in a number of bus shelters in
the system. It gives an overview of all the routes and transfer
points. The display modules located at busy bus stops on the
main arteries in the system list the times when buses will
be passing.

| Info
Plus |
 |
In its ongoing efforts to keep you better informed, the STO
is innovating with a new variable message sign system called
Info Plus that is currently being tested. It displays real-time
information on when the next two buses will be passing for
all the bus routes that serve the stop. Furthermore, this
intelligent system adjusts the time on the illuminated panel
to show whether buses are ahead of time or delayed. It also
allows the STO to scroll text messages in a special area on
the panel. This way, if traffic is congested due to roadwork
or a snowstorm, you can be updated on the reason for the change
in schedule.
New
indicator lights on the Info Plus panels
Green indicator lights have
been lighting up on the Info Plus panels to give more detailed
information on when buses will be passing the stop. A green
light means that the time shown is the real time that the
bus will pass, whereas no light means that the time shown
is the scheduled time.

| Securibus |
 |
Through this program, children who need help, either because
they are lost, hurt or being followed, can turn to bus drivers
for help. Children just have to wave at the driver to be allowed
onto the bus and given a chance to explain their situation.
The driver will then be able to help the child by contacting
the STO through a two-way radio.
The Securibus
program is a joint effort with the Comité régional
de prévention du crime de l'Outaouais (CRPCO). It also
enables drivers to reach the police quickly when they witness
fires or accidents. |

Available after 9 :00 pm every night on all routes in the
network, this service is designed especially for passengers
who are alone at night and, for reasons of safety or mobility,
want to get off closer to their destination or in a location
that is better lit than the regular bus stop. They need only
notify the driver, who will then let the passenger spot between
two stops.
