The Programme
d’aide à l’apprentissage au transport en commun
(assistance program to learn to use public transit) has been set
up to encourage and make it easier for independent seniors and retirees
to use public transit so that they can maintain their ties to their
environment. This initiative has been introduced in response to
the growing needs of the ageing population in the Outaouais.
The program is designed for seniors and retirees, as
well as their entourage, so that they can be accompanied in the learning
process. It is intended specifically for families that have dependent
seniors and for third parties that work daily with elderly people
to ensure they remain independent and active.

the program to help people become more familiar with public transit.
