In 2004, the Société de transport de l'Outaouais
(STO) set up a Customer Service Technical Committee whose purpose
is to share opinions on the different aspects of public transit
customer service with STO representatives and create a solid synergy
between committee members and STO representatives in order to promote
dialogue and encourage the greatest possible clientele involvement
in finding solutions.
The mandate of the Customer Service Technical Committee is to provide
guidance and formulate recommendations about various aspects of
customer service that it feels are important.
The committee determines the procedure that applies to its meetings,
the number of meetings and meeting schedule, and any other measures
required to carry out its mandate smoothly. The committee must meet
at least three times a year. The meetings are called by the committee
chairman.
The minutes of the Customer Service Technical Committee meetings
are submitted to the management committee for guidance purposes,
before being submitted to the Board of Directors for information
purposes.

Representatives for the youth commission
The representatives for public transit patrons are chosen by a selection committee made up of members of the Customer Service Technical Committee after a call for candidates. Duties on the committee are on a volunteer basis. The representatives serve a one year term that can be renewed.
